Raised initially in Cameroon, where she spent her early childhood, Charity returned to Nigeria to complete her high school and university education, graduating in 2012 with a degree in Mass Communication. Her early career saw her gain valuable experience, including over three years as a newscaster and radio presenter at a campus station, alongside teaching English Language to young highschool students.

Redefining the Narrative:
Charity began creating content on TikTok in 2020. Recognizing the widespread publication of disrespectful and misinformed content about Africa, she quickly transformed her platform into a powerful vehicle for advocacy. She has become a viral sensation by masterfully challenging ignorant perceptions and offering a humorous, insightful, and authentic look at life in Africa, often collaborating with NGOs and organizations focused on global development and social impact.

Her influence has soared, with 3.5 million followers on TikTok and a total of over 5 million followers across all her social media platforms, generating over 800 million views.

Global Engagement and Impact:
Charity’s work has elevated her to the global stage, where she engages with world leaders on critical issues:

  • Global Health and Innovation (2023): At the Grand Challenges Annual Meeting in Dakar, Senegal, she interviewed Bill Gates on global health innovations, specifically focusing on the future of Africa in this light.
  • The Future of Africa’s Story (2024): During the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Charity met and spoke with several world leaders about the importance of Africans telling their own stories, including an in-depth conversation with the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima.
  • International Security and Governance (2024): At the Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Munich, Germany, she interviewed a diverse group of global leaders, including UK Minister for Development, Women, and Equalities Annaliese Dodds, Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia Salah Jama, IOM Director General Amy Pope, NATO Special Representative for Women, Peace, and Security Irene Fellin, EU Special Representative for the Horn of Africa Annette Weber, and Chair of the Board for GAVI, Professor José Manuel Barroso.
  • NGO partnerships for Social impact: Charity recently got announced as one of the 2025 Diaspora council members, for the ONE campaign Diaspora creative council. She joins a group of creatives from across Africa and the Diaspora, who have the same passion to change the narrative about Africa, by using their creativity to spark change, build opportunities and champion healthier lives and economic opportunities across Africa.
  • Climate Change and Sustainability (2025): Charity’s commitment to global discourse continued at COP30 in Brazil, where she spoke with top climate change and sustainability leaders, including UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell, Google’s Chief Sustainability Officer Kate Brandt, and President of the World Resources Institute, Ani Dasgupta.
